If you ask us, Larry is a rather old-fashioned, funny name for a dog, but it actually fits our sweet older pup Larry. If we asked Chat GPT to make our pup Larry into a person, we imagine it would create an image of an older gentleman wearing a checkered pageboy hat and a Mr. Rogers-esque cardigan, with a book in one hand and a cup of lemonade in the other. He would be sitting on his front porch, offering you the cup and ready to shoot the breeze for hours.Volunteers at the shelter love spending time with Larry, saying the following:“Larry is a very laid-back, relaxed fella who is easy to leash up in his kennel and walk over to a play yard. Once in the yard he explores for a bit and then makes his way back to my side, sticking next to me for the remainder of our time in the yard, just soaking in all the pets and love.”“I met Larry in a play yard this morning. When I sat down on the ground, he cuddled up right next to me for snuggles. He gave me some big sweet kisses and allowed me to pet him. We went for a little walk and he perked right up, very happy to be out and exploring! He followed his nose and was a curious walker. He led the way and responded when I called him to me.”“Larry is a little bit goofy and a whole lot sweet! The best word to describe him is CHARMING. He’s so nice and polite and he enjoys meeting new people.” Larry has had his share of heartbreak- his first owner passed away and his second owner gave him up due to no fault on Larry’s part. His former owner shared that Larry was good with other big dogs and was house trained. He walks well on leash, loves car rides, and is equal parts independent and Velcro dog, playful and couch potato. You can tell that he’s unsure of why he’s back at this noisy shelter and he is really hoping to find a furever home to live out his golden years in peace, with lots of TLC. Larry shares his kennel politely with another PACC pup and has been social and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Larry has had a hard time, losing his home twice, and he`d obviously love to get back into a stable, loving home! He is a sweet guy and is so deserving of another chance to find his furever family!
