My story

Meet Vision – Your Goofy, Gentle Adventure Buddy! Vision is a 1-year-old, 63-pound lovable pup with a playful spirit, a heart full of love, and the most endearing little button nose you’ve ever seen. He’s the perfect mix of youthful energy and cuddly affection—always ready to explore the world or settle in for some snuggles. On leash, Vision starts off strong—he’s just excited to see what’s out there! But after a bit of trail time, he eases into a more manageable pace and even shows off some loose leash walking, checking in with you every so often like a true partner. This goofy guy loves to run and play, and he’s also a quick learner. Vision is treat-motivated, takes snacks gently, knows “sit,” and is picking up “down” quickly. He doesn’t jump for treats and seems to genuinely enjoy training and praise. Affectionate and people-oriented, Vision thrives on connection. He even hopped right into the car by himself—though he’s still figuring out how to get comfortable, often standing and leaning sweetly against the backseat. With his lovable personality, eagerness to please, and that adorable button nose, Vision is ready to be someone’s loyal companion. Could it be you? As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
