Sweet little Yorkie Fawn is a puppy mill survivor who was surrendered to the rescue about 4 weeks ago. She weighs 10 pounds and is approximately 7 yrs old. She has been spayed, is up to date on her shots and has had a dental procedure where many of her teeth were removed or cleaned. When she first came into foster she was very shy and nervous, hiding behind the couch or anything else she could find to feel safe . Over her time in a foster home with 2 other pups, Fawn has become more confident with people and loves to sit with her foster mum, curled up in a tight circle or stretched out over more than her half of the couch. Rolling over to have her tummy tickled is another favorite thing for her to do She also loves going out in the backyard to run and explore her surroundings. Learning to walk on a leash is coming along, but she will need more practice to become more confident. Fawn is almost fully trained but in an emergency will use a pee pad. She enjoys going for rides in the car, curling up in the seat and going to sleep. She sleeps through the night, curled up on the bed next to her foster mom Fawn has been eating canned food twice a day and enjoys munching on some kibble between meals. She loves liver treats which are often used in our training sessions. So far, she knows the command come but more time is needed to consolidate the other basic commands. Fawn has a lot of love to share with her forever family. A home with a backyard is preferred for Fawn. She gets along well with other dogs but has not been tested with cats. April 2, 2025, 9:00 am
