Marley

My story

Marley is a 12-year-old sweetheart who’s mastered the art of enjoying the simple things in life: sunny backyard naps, peaceful strolls, and cozy cuddles with his favorite humans. He may be a senior, but don’t let his age fool you—Marley still has plenty of pep in his step and a whole lot of love left to share! This curious and loving boy has been nothing but polite and gentle in the home. He gets along well with other small dogs, mostly preferring to do his own thing while coexisting peacefully. On walks, he’s friendly to every pup he meets and walks beautifully on leash—whether solo or with a doggy companion. Marley is also a people pup through and through. He’s sweet with strangers and adores affection, but he’s also independent enough to enjoy his alone time. He does experience some separation anxiety when left alone, but he’s making great progress and does well in a crate, especially when the door is left open overnight. Though Marley’s still brushing up on his basic commands, he’s incredibly smart and eager to please. He’s 95% house-trained and really just wants to get everything right. He’ll bark if left alone too long or locked out of a room, but that’s improving as he settles into his routine. Marley is currently on medication for some minor pain and glaucoma (eye drops), but none of that dims his spirit. He still gallops around the backyard like a joyful little deer and is always ready for a good walk or cuddle session. Ready to give Marley the loving retirement he deserves?
