Meet Ventura – Your New Best Friend with the Best Ears in Town!Ventura is a 5.5-month-old mixed breed sweetheart with a winning combination of husky, terrier, and heeler in his genes — and it shows in his adorable natural bobtail, expressive ears, and fun-loving spirit! Currently weighing in at around 25 pounds, he’s not expected to get much bigger, making him a great medium-sized companion for almost any kind of home.Ventura is the total package: affectionate, relaxed, and wonderfully social. He’s a champion snuggler who’s happiest curled up next to his human — but when it’s mealtime, his inner goofball shines through (this boy loves his food!). He has a chill personality overall but would thrive with an active family or a home where he gets regular playtime and attention. Ventura is friendly with everyone — adults, kids of all ages, and dogs big and small. He also did well with cats in a previous foster home.He’s doing great with his house training, especially with a dog door, and is crate-trained (though he’d rather sleep next to you). Like any pup, he still enjoys chewing on sticks and exploring with his mouth, but he’s learning the ropes quickly. He walks well on a leash and shows all the signs of being a quick learner.He’s easygoing, adaptable, and just wants to be loved (and maybe given an extra treat or two). His only potential quirk? He tends to stay close to your feet, so a home with older individuals should be mindful of his herding tendencies.If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and downright adorable pup to join your family, Ventura might be the perfect match.
