Tangerine

My story

Tangerine is a special guy. There’s something a little off about him. He was born outside on the deck of people who cared for his family’s colony. As he and his sister grew up, his sister ventured off the deck to hunt. Tangerine would howl and howl, never leaving the deck, just waiting for his sister or mother to return. In the five months he lived outside, Tangerine never once left the deck. Now that he’s inside, Tangerine hasn’t grown braver. He still prefers to hunker down in one spot and stay there forever. He’s not adventuresome. He doesn’t have an inquisitive spirit. But he has a good heart. Tangerine needs someone who understands that he’s a little different. He needs someone to be patient with him. It’s possible, in time, he may decide people aren’t so scary. But that may never happen. And that’s okay. He’s content to be inside. He loves having his sister Apricot with him. He’s a good boy. Tangerine is quite bonded to his sister. He needs her to show him how to do everything. Apricot and Tangerine need to be adopted together. Apricot & Tangerine are currently in foster care.
