My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Smallville:1Stripe is a handsome ginger guy with—you guessed it—some very stylish stripes and a quiet, gentle spirit. He's a little shy, but also resilient, slowly learning that humans aren't so scary after all. Stripe is curious, observant, and starting to show flashes of his personality—he's been spotted sunbathing on his cat tree, accepting pets, and even letting out some friendly meows. He's not a lap cat just yet, but with some patience, Churu treats, and a calm home, this striped softie should blossom into a wonderfully loyal companion. If you're the kind of person who finds joy in the slow unfolding of trust, Stripe might just be your perfect match. Note: Since Stripe is used to living with other cats, we think he’d be a little lonely without a kitty friend, but would fit right in to a multi-cat home!  April 25, 2025, 10:30 pm
