My story

Lucrezia (aka Lucy), a petite pittie/boxer mix is a total sweetheart with a soft soul—and she’s looking for a very specific kind of forever home: gentle, patient, and preferably full of female energy. We do not know her background, but she is terrified of men, although not in an aggressive way. Shelter life crushed her spirit, but a compassionate foster family took her in and has been working with for a couple of months, but it’s been a slow process helping her to gain trust in men. It’s a long road, and unfortunately, they need to return her toward the end of June.Lucrezia is amazing on leash, non-reactive to other animals, crate-trained, loves a soft couch, and will gently accept all the cuddles, nail trims, and ear cleanings you offer. She thrives with structure, kindness, and calm vibes. With her foster mom, she’s loving, loyal, and completely at ease.In the shelter she barely ate and shook constantly. We do not want her to go back. She struggles to go potty on leash and holds it for way too long unless she`s in a safe, enclosed outdoor space—and we want to find her a home where she doesn’t have to constantly be scared.This sweet sole deserves a soft life. A peaceful one. A woman-led home with a yard, another kind dog, or just someone with a huge heart and serious patience.
