My story

COME AND CHECK ME OUT… My name is Buckley and I arrived a few months ago at the Sedona Humane Society. I am a 1 year and 10 month old male cattle dog and terrier mix with a kind and joyful heart of gold! I lived in a home with a medically fragile child who needed more of a lap dog, so here I am looking for another family to call my own.I am playful, fun, energetic and ready to leave shelter life behind. I like to play fetch and return the ball 90% of the time. I will run to you when you call my name, sit patiently for treats and really enjoy body rubs after a fun play session. I am always excited to show off my happy tail! I am friendly, funny and passionate. I am a smart boy, intelligent and eager to learn but being a puppy still, I need your training and guidance. The world is so exciting, and I am learning to regulate my happiness at times. But I respond to directions, and I am a quick learner. Do you have some school aged kids that I can play with as I form strong bonds with the people around me and will be a devoted loyal companion. Bring them with you please when you come to visit me.I would thrive in a home with people who can give me the exercise, attention and the kindness that I crave along with lots of body rubs. We could enjoy nice long walks in the red dirt for sure. With my friendly nature and loyal spirit, I`ll be your best buddy for years to come.I am neutered, microchipped, potty trained and up-to date on my vaccines.If I sound like a good fit for you and your fun family...come to the shelter and say “ready to play Buckley?” I would really love to start my life outside a shelter.
