My story

Please meet Mimi! This pretty, fun-loving girl is looking for a place to call home. Living a life on the streets is tough for a dog who just wants to be part of a family. We don’t always know the circumstances of how a stray dog got lost, but we are always thankful for the people who get these dogs to the Anti-Cruelty Society in search of their new homes. This dog has gone through all the required legal stray holds and is just waiting for you to come down and decide that he is the one. It is always important to give dogs with unknown histories some time and space to decompress and get used to living in a new home with new sights, smells and sounds. Set them up for success by always keeping them safely secured (and wearing proper identification) when outside the home and using positive reinforcement training techniques to help bond with your dog.
