Lee is full of love and ready to find his people. He’s super wiggly in his kennel, but show him a leash and he’ll plop into a sit like a pro. Out on walks, he pulls a little but not too much—and he seems to be housebroken! In the playroom, Lee was all smiles and tail wags. He knows “sit,” enjoys treats (can be a little snatchy, but he’s learning), and loves attention. He’s got a soft spot for squeaky toys and proudly takes them as his own. Lee is the kind of dog who turns any time into playtime and makes every moment brighter. He’s sweet, silly, and just waiting to meet his forever best friend! Meet Lee at ACCT Philly any day between 10 am and 6 pm. Dog friendly and kid friendly! He was living all the attention. 04/25/2025 volunteer notes: Lee was very easy to walk. I brought him to the big yard and he liked running around, chasing tennis balls, and running up the staircase. He was mostly interested in running around and people watching, but let me pet him all over. Short term foster 4/24: First let me start by saying I don't think I have ever been around a dog as gentle as this guy! He is so sweet and only wants to please! He is gentle with all of my kids. (Youngest 6) Lee loves nothing more than to just cuddle with his person. He does seem to be more comfortable with women. He tends to shy away from men. (Not aggressive at all!) He still does greet my husband everyday after work. I've noticed he will only eat when I'm sitting or standing near him. He doesn't like loud noises. Lee also loves walks! At first his leash skills were not the best, with him pulling really hard, but in just a few days he is so much better! He will not bark at other animals even if they are vocal with him. He does pull when he sees any animal but easily corrected and only wants to say hi! Lee is housetrained and crate trained. He does know some commands.. sit, stay and crate. Doesn't seem too interested in treats, but will always listen. He really is an all around perfect buddy! We all really enjoyed our time with him! He will make his person so happy! Playgroup 4/20: Lee was steerable on all accounts and was very nervous in the yard. He was tolerant of all the dogs greets him and trying to play but remained neutral and walked away. Throughout his time out, he sat in the back corner and remained there for the rest of his time out. Short term foster notes: 4/15 Day trip: Lee enjoyed a bright sunny day at the park and enjoyed some well deserved rolls in the grass. Went home and enjoyed some doggy safe ice cream and took a nap on the porch in the sun. 4/16 short term foster: Spent another day at the park in the sun and enjoyed a nice relaxing bath after. Took a long nap and watched a Disney movie for the night. 4/17 short term foster: Incredibly wiggly and friendly. Spent Saturday with a group of kids and they absolutely adored him. Fell right asleep as soon as he got home. Per Volunteer 4/23: Lee was easy to get out of the kennel. He was happy to go and pulled some on the walk initially. I switched to the harness method and that worked well. He showed interest in other dogs and had a good fence meet with Edison (see video). Lee wasn’t interested in treats - he would gently sniff them but not take them. While waiting for his turn at the photo shoot, I sat down on a bench and he hopped up and onto the table and then went down the other side where there was a bin. He may be interested in agility type classes. See his photos and videos. per staff 4/12: I used Lee for another dog meet today based on his good notes! He is very strong on the leash and will pull to greet the other dog, but once face to face greets very calmly/politely. After 5-10 seconds of sniffing the other dog through the fence, he disengaged and walked away. When meeting face to face, he remained well mannered! The other dog play bowed at him and he play bowed back. They were then able to walk with some distance in between each other and just co exist. He was very sweet and easy to get in and out of the kennel. He also peed right away when we got outside. per volunteer 4/11: Dog meet: Lee and Buddy G: Lee pulled hard towards him with head down, soft eyes, perked up ears, tail middle. Lee easily disengaged and got some zoomies and was very affiliate to his handler. The dogs were able to calmly hang out near each other while the handlers talked, sniffing appropriately while generally unfazed by the prescence of the other. Food motivated, kept soliciting treats from his handler. 04/10/2025 volunteer notes: Kennel presentation: Lee was super wiggly in his kennel. When I approach the front of his kennel, he was jumping on it, but when I showed him my leash, he sat down. I opened the kennel door, and I was able to easily lasso him without any issues. He then jumped out of his kennel. Leash: minimal/ moderately pulling Handling: in the room, Lee was very loose and wiggly and allowed all handling, he knows Sit and at times he can be a bit snatching, but overall takes treats pretty well from you. He is a bit jumpy and will jump on you but with a treat he’s easily directed off of you. He remained pretty loose the whole time in the room. He did some panting and did seem a bit stressed out. He took possession of toys and really enjoy squeaky toys. He does pull a bit on leash, but not too bad. He engaged in play and seemed to relax when toys were around. I took Leah outside where he seems to be housebroken as he peed right away. Play: interested in play Toys: took possession in toys 04/08/2025 staff notes, playgroup: Steerable with both spray and can. Jogged into yard with high tail, ears back, accepted greetings from Ellie and a few others before running off to explore. Remained curious, alert. Continued to be greeted by other dogs and tolerating but not fully reciprocating interest: e.g. Johanna was forward for 20-30 seconds, and Lee continually tried to ignore / divert away from her. Ears back, gaze averted, no corrections. Generally tolerated other dogs, but preferred to explore on his own. ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in.
