My story

Charlotte, Charlie, Char Char, our little girl who came top us from our favorite friends at Saving Grace Dig Rescue of SA. Someone stumbled across a 3 week old baby on the sidewalk all by herself. She was growing up in foster care and as she got older we realized that her back legs were a little bit wobbly and she had limited hearing. Our friends in Texas took her to countless appointments and everything seemed to be at a bit of a halt. Thankfully these differences about her did not seem to cause her any issues with her quality of life or being able to do things that a normal puppy wanted to do. Charlotte is said to have syringomyelia and Chiari-like malformation. Here is an article explaining more about the hopeful diagnosis: https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/syringomyelia-and-chiari-like-malformation Charlotte's qualities: - She is dog, cat, and kid friendly! - She is quirky and has a lot of personality in the best way. - She is sassy but determined and doesn't let her disability get in the way of any of her fun time! - She is working on potty training and doing a good job, but of course requires positive reinforcement and a schedule to keep her on track just like any other puppy. - She is doing great in her kennel and doesn't seem to mind sleeping in her own space. Charlotte is located in Chicago and is accepting applications for individuals/families who live within 3 hours of Chicago. If you are interested in being considered her forever home please apply directly. Her adoption fee includes her spay, up to date vaccines and preventatives, negative heartworm test and microchip. If you have any questions before applying please email adopt@chicagorescueauthority.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Charlotte, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
