My story

Aviva made us cry the second we met her. We had spent the day volunteering at our local intake shelter when before we left we saw something that happens everyday all over. This sweet girl was being tied to a trash can pole to fend for herself. She had no idea what was happening and we instantly walked over to go grab her. They didn't want to wait in line to surrender her and so instead they left her. We approached her and she instantly gave us a hug, no idea what was going on. We thought about her for days and within no time she was in our care. Aviva is estimated to be a little under 2 years old. We don't know much about her past but we do know that her future will always be filled with love. She has some scars on her face that we can only imagine are from dog fight wounds around her mouth. She is being fostered with other dogs and we have noticed that she tends to do better with
