My story

Meet Sunny! | Apply to Adopt Me Found abandoned in royal Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, Sunny has made the journey to NYC ready to embrace her new life. This toasted marshmallow girlie is five years old and fully grown at around 40lbs. The perfect sized pup to take up the other side of your queen bed!Though she can be a little shy and aloof at first, she’s warming up quickly in her foster home. Slowly but surely showing interest in good sniffs and passing dogs on walks, she’ll thrive with a little patience. ♥ Toys are a mystery to be solved, and humans are quite interesting. Sunny happily follows her fosters around as they tend to chores, quietly and curiously observing as if she’ll update her diary later that night. Could you be the most interesting human in Sunny’s life? Better get your application in before her next event!   Come meet our adoptable dogs at this weekend’s Korean K9 Rescue events!   We’re back for  Yappy Hour at Spicy Moon—and it’s going to be a good one! Come meet adoptable dogs from Korean K9 Rescue while enjoying complimentary snacks and beer (21+) in a relaxed, pet-friendly setting on Bowery. It’s a great opportunity to connect with our rescue team, learn more about our adoption process, and spend time with some of the incredible dogs looking for homes.   Saturday, June 7th – Yappy Hour at Spicy Moon Bowery Location: 265 Bowery, New York, NY 10002 Time: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM Pre-approved adopters: 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM The first 30 minutes of the event are reserved for pre-approved adopters. If you’re hoping to adopt, we encourage you to apply early for priority access.  Tickets are required to attend. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1388174730989?aff=oddtdtcreator    Looking to adopt in a more laid-back setting? Join us at our Astoria office for a relaxed, in-person adoption event. These quieter gatherings are a great way to meet our adoptable dogs, ask questions, and connect with our team in a more personal environment.   Sunday, June 8th – Adoption Event at KK9R Astoria Office Location: 24-07 31st St, Astoria, NY 11102 Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM Pre-approved adopters: 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM The first 30 minutes of the event are reserved for pre-approved adopters. If you’re hoping to adopt, we encourage you to apply early for priority access.   Learn more about our adoption process: www.koreank9rescue.org/adoption-procedures www.koreank9rescue.org/adoption-faq   Korean K9 Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit saving dogs from the Korean dog meat trade and overcrowded shelters.   Support our mission: • Donate: www.koreank9rescue.org/donate • Patreon: www.patreon.com/koreank9rescue ##2357972##
