My story

ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED! Kobe is a chill, low maintenance guy looking for a home. He's is a ruggedly handsome mixed breed boy, probably some type of lab mix. Kobe is mostly black with brindle highlights and a docked tail. He's an active, healthy older dog, 9ish years old and a perfect weight at 43 pounds. Kobe is a good natured guy who enjoys quick trips outside to take care of business, then he's ready to head back inside to chill out. He likes to entertain himself with toys and chewies. Kobe likes everyone he meets but he's not a dog who constantly pesters people for attention, he likes to be around his people but makes no demands. Kobe's favorite times of day are meal times and snack times. He's happy to play, go for walks and take a rides in the car, but he's also perfectly content to hang out. Kobe is okay with another dog as a roommate but he's not looking for a playmate. He would be perfectly happy as an only dog. No kitties for Kobe! Kobe is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet this gem of a dog, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Kobe at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
