My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I lived with children in my previous home.I am finding the shelter a bit overwhelming. Outside one-on-one I am a great big cuddle bug.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.Silva tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.A volunteer writes: Silva was sleeping like he'd been dreaming he was at a window sill, but alas, he seemed to immediately remember where he actually was when he woke up. Though I've learned that a cat sleeping upside down isn't always an invitation to cuddle, but rather an invitation to appreciate, albeit maybe from afar, I tried to say hello. As you may have surmised, Silva was sleeping upside down with paws stretched over his head. When I went to offer my hand, Silva immediately righted himself and looked over at me surprised. Care Center life isn't quite Silva's speed, but there's just a tiny bit more to this story because Silva's known to be friendly and curious, gentle and quiet. Described as a "chill" cat, Silva enjoys a good window seat and is friendly when he has the chance to come out on his own terms.
