Through no fault of his own, Duke has found his way back to Rescue Row after spending two years in his adopted home. Due to changes in his family’s work schedules and personal circumstances, Duke was spending much of his time in a kennel. Now, we’re on a mission to find him a loving, active home he truly deserves. According to his previous family, Duke was a regular at the dog park and got along well with every pup he met. He’s also been wonderful with the dogs in his foster home and has shown no interest in the resident cat—bonus points for being cat-friendly! Duke is playful, toy-loving, and would thrive in a home with a canine companion his size or with an active family who can keep him physically and mentally engaged. Due to his strength (we’re currently working on leash manners!), we recommend a home with children over the age of 10. Duke is almost 3 years old, weighs 73 lbs, and according to Wisdom Panel, he’s 43% American Staffordshire Terrier, 38% American Pit Bull Terrier, 7% American Bulldog, and a dash of Australian Cattle Dog (4%), German Shepherd (3%), American Eskimo (2%), Dalmatian (2%), and American Akita (1%). If you’d like to apply for this handsome and happy boy, please visit www.rescuerowinc.org *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 buiness days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash, Zelle, Venmo or check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##1544430##
