My story

Astro is a adorable, loving, young male dog, who was sadly surrendered by her irresponsible owner when she dumped her 6 dogs because she was having a baby. He is an affectionate, gentle, and playful dog who may be quite timid with new people and situations but learns quickly. Astro is 12 pounds of absolute adorableness. Because Astro is quite timid, he would benefit from living with another dog to show him the way. Not considered housebroken but is making quick progress if taken out frequently. If you are interested in adopting Astro, please submit an application on our website almosthomedogs.org. PLEASE NOTE- AN APPLICATION FROM THE WEBSITE ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG IS REQUIRED prior to any meet and greet. Calling, emailing and using the “contact us” link is not useful and will delay your consideration in the adoption of the dog. The adoption fee is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including age appropriate vaccinations, worming, flea/tick preventative and spay/neuter. All of our dogs will be microchipped. Because our dogs are in foster homes, applications are required prior to setting up any appointments. Calling or emailing may delay your consideration. APPLY AT ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG (click on the word "Adopt" at top of page to find the dropdown menu with application) We are a non profit no kill 501 (c)3 rescue. Please understand that we do our best to describe our dogs but often we rescue them with virtually no information about them and often our best educated guess can be challenging. Currently check, cash or venmo is preferred payment. ($15 additional donation to cover costs if credit card used)
