Rose is an incredibly sweet and loving girl who never met a stranger she didn’t want to befriend! Full of charm and tail wags, she’s always ready to shower you with love – literally! Rose loves to jump up gently for kisses and to let you know she’s ready for more attention (and she’ll happily accept as many pets as you’re willing to give). She’s a playful pup who enjoys going on walks, exploring the world around her, and having fun with her people. Whether it’s playtime or cuddle time, Rose is just happy to be by your side. What really makes her special is her love for people – she absolutely adores making new human friends and will greet everyone with joy and excitement. Her heart is as big as her personality, and she’s ready to share it with a forever family. When I arrived at Anderson Animal Shelter from their partner shelter in Oklahoma, I tested positive for Heartworm. The staff believes that the best place for Heartworm positive dogs like me to be while going through treatments and recovering is with a loving and forever family like yours. If you choose to adopt me, the clinic staff will be with you every step of the way, answering questions and offering support. The process from detection to the final treatment is generally three months and involves some simple at-home steps to keep me safe while I recover. The last step in the process is a follow-up test six months after my treatment begins. The Heartworm treatment process is highly successful and the staff anticipates that I will fully recover! Yeah! And you should know that Heartworm can only be transmitted from animal to animal by mosquitoes. Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email bloomingdale@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 90, and the staff will be happy to help you. Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (6 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rose, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
