My story

Xena is a relaxed black and white Pitbull mix who does best as the only pet in the home. She takes her time warming up to new people and places, but once she’s comfortable, she’s affectionate and loves to cuddle. Xena is potty trained and has a playful side—she goes a bit crazy with her stuffed toys, tossing them around and having a blast. Despite her playful moments, she’s overall a laid-back girl who enjoys a calm environment where she can relax and feel secure. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who loves her toys and cuddles, Xena could be a great fit for you. Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
