My story

Meet Zinnia – A One-of-a-Kind Companion with a Heart of GoldLooking for a playful, affectionate, and totally unique best friend? Zinnia is a 45-pound bundle of charm and sweetness with the soul of a goofball and the heart of a loyal companion. A mix of Labrador, Pitbull, and Saint Bernard, this compact cutie is the perfect blend of fun and cuddle!Zinnia is smart, silly, and seriously lovable. She’s already crate-trained, house-trained, muzzle-trained, knows a handful of tricks, and walks beautifully on leash. She’s a huge fan of toys—especially anything squeaky—and she’ll happily “talk” to you when she’s excited. (It’s adorable, we promise.)While she can be a bit shy at first, especially around new people or unfamiliar situations, once she warms up, Zinnia becomes your most devoted sidekick. She thrives in calm, patient homes and does best with gentle introductions and consistent routines. Zinnia would love a home with:- A peaceful environment where she can build confidence at her own pace- Older, respectful children or an adults-only household- A friendly, mellow male dog to help her feel secure- A human who appreciates both her sensitive soul and goofy, toy-loving spiritLoud noises and sudden movements can make Zinnia nervous, but give her time and understanding, and she’ll reward you with tail wags, belly flops, and loyal companionship. She’s truly one of those dogs who just needs her person—someone who sees her for the hidden gem she is and gives her the love she deserves. Ready to meet your perfect match?Zinnia is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is Waived for the summer!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis—we focus on finding the right home for each animal. Apply now at caws.org to meet Zinnia and see if you’re her happily-ever-after! If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationJuly 31, 2025, 7:07 am
