My story

Helllo!!! My name is Katie. I am about 7 years old, 50-pound shepherd mix who spent most of my life on a chain. Now that I am free, I am eager to find my forever family. My age is uncertain, but everyone says I don't seem like an old dog! My foster has taken me so many fun places! I did the Easter Egg 5K, a wine event, Scheels and Rock and Brew. Everywhere I go I am a big hit! You know what they say, age is just a number! I adore people of all ages, both adults and children. Attention and cuddles are my favorites, and I promise I am only a stage-four clinger, not stage five! I also enjoy sharing little bites of food, with chicken being a particular favorite. Occasionally, I can be selective and may not always want dog treats. I am still learning to relax and embrace being a playful dog. While I sometimes chew on bones or toys, I mostly prefer to stay close to you and soak up all the cuddles, making up for lost time. I am a well-behaved girl and can spend the day alone without any trouble. When you return home, I will greet you with great excitement. My interactions with other dogs vary, as I like some but not others. On walks, I may want to chase prey animals, so please hold my leash securely. Could we be a match? Could you be my family?
