There is an adorable video of me on social media! Click here to experience the cuteness! What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.I'll need daily interaction with you as I get used to my new life. Not only do I pull at heart strings, but I also pull on leash! I will need someone to help me with my leash manners.A volunteer writes: Capybara must have some special doggy-magic...because he's put a spell on me! It's easy to see how he's done it, though. It's a combination of the way he hops onto his bed and wiggles and jiggles all 60-pounds of himself when I approach his kennel; his gentle, brown eyes, perfectly shaped like two almonds; his expressive ears that almost flatten back when he's nervous, but quickly perk up when he sees me (or any of his other human friends); the adorable way he zooms around the yard with his stuffed toy like a big energetic puppy and chases the balls during games of fetch; and, most of all, how he excitedly runs up to me when I call him over, ready for lots of snuggling and cuddling, and sometimes even belly-rubs! (He's also been housebroken with regular walks). When we introduced Capybara to an unfamiliar dog on two separate occasions, he greeted the first dog (male) with a soft, wiggly body; and approached the second (female) with a loose, wiggly body, but then lost interest in her. Capybara is ready to cast his sweet spell on you, so meet him today...and get ready to be totally enchanted! My Foster Writes:Capybara (Cappy for short) is a devastatingly handsome genius torpedo of tactical snuggle energy, a 60-pound lap dog who plays hard and sleeps hard. He's as excited to go on a four-mile hike as he is to rest his head on your leg and snooze through movie night when you get home. His love language is being physically close, whether that's playing fetch on the beach, going for a drive, sitting quietly in a room with you while you're working, or making sure at least one paw is touching you while you share the couch. This very clever boy knows how to sit, stay, come, wait, give and leave, and is always teaching himself new tricks. He won't hesitate to remind you when you need a break from screens to rub his belly instead, ideally several times a day.As much as he loves food, he will politely sit out of sight behind you while watching you eat. (Maybe a little closer if you're eating chicken.) And if you tell him he's a good boy he may politely request a treat, because he knows his worth.
