Sheep

My story

A volunteer writes:Sheep, a young man part of a very large group of cats(40 cats) has been with us for a while...He is finding the time long and decided to finally come out of his shell, trying to strike a conversation and accepting treats and pets without backing off. Sheep has been working hard on himself, making progress but is still spooked by sudden noises and moves.  I have hope for this pretty little tiger  I could not touch one week ago and who now, comes forward when called and leans into pets(see video). Most of Sheep's housemates were shy or scared and needed time to acclimate to shelter life, allowing them to be successfully adopted or rescued. Sheep has it in him to succeed and follow in his friends footsteps. He is a super cute and petite little guy who is hoping to meet an understanding adopter who will make him feel safe and loved. Sheep is at the Manhattan Care Center.What my friends at ACC say about me:I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some feline body language together!I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I'm sensitive and shy.
