Sassafras

My story

Meet Sassafras! A fantastic conversationalist, Sassafras wants life on her terms in her golden years and is not afraid to share her opinions. She will sit at the door to her room and yell when you walk by until she receives her scheduled meals (wet food only, of course). Then, she will rub up on you and demand to be pet and brushed to her heart’s content. Check often if she wants to continue by whether or not she comes back for more—if you keep going beyond your welcome, you will see what puts the ‘sass’ in Sassafras! Sassafras will finish her routine by curling up on the bench in lieu of a nice sunny spot and snooze or preen until something else catches her eye. Sassafras has expressed a vocal, grumbly disdain for other animals in the shelter, and we feel she would prefer to be your one and only furry friend. She promises to make it worth your sacrifice with her enthusiastic head butts, lively discussions, and heaps of purrsonality! After being found stray at her senior age, Sassafras has earned her right to have it her way, don’t you think? (She thinks so, anyway.)
