My story

Lucy MagnoliaWell, I declare! I`m so pleased to meet you! I would like to offer you some lemonade and sit on a front porch while I tell you my life story. But I can`t since I am in the cattery. First of all, I am not a Southern Belle, but my name surely is! I am only 1.5-years-old, already spayed, with a remarkably pretty face and excellent litterbox skills. I am so eager for a fresh start with a new owner. My owner surrendered me to HSHC on April 11 due to my inability to get along with the resident cat. I lived with my owner, 9, 6, 5-year-old, and 6-month-old children, a 2-year-old Corgi, and a 2-year-old cat for four months. I tolerated the dog and kids, but the cat drove me batty! We never got used to one another. Because I am an active cat with lots of energy, puzzle toys, interactive toys, and opportunities to engage with my new adopters can help my transition to a new home. Interactive play and puzzle toys will help me expend pent-up energy, utilize my natural foraging skills, and strengthen the bond between you and me. I can be shy around new people and will likely keep my distance from you, but I will eventually become super affectionate once I know you. In fact, I have a lot of love to give and I can`t wait to show it to my new family. The HSHC staff thinks I should go to a home where the kids are all 10 or older. I got along great with the interviewer lady (IL), and she paid plenty of attention to me. I have enjoyed all the affection shown to me by the volunteers and staff. They think I am the cutest little thing! 4-30-25
