My story

Hi there, I’m Heath — a 6-year-old Irish Wolfhound mix with a big heart to match my 78-pound, smoky grey frame. I may look a little scruffy right now, but trust me, once I get a good grooming, I’ll be turning heads left and right. Underneath it all, I’m one handsome, gentle giant! I was found lost and brought to the shelter on 04/12/2025, and while I’m grateful to be safe, I’m really hoping to find a forever home where I can finally settle in and be someone’s loyal best friend. I’m as nice as they come — gentle, obedient, and eager to please. I already know sit, shake, and lay down, and I’m working on mastering “stay” (hey, nobody’s perfect, right?). I’m a quiet, steady companion who just wants to be loved — no drama, no nonsense, just warm cuddles and quiet walks. I’ll be neutered before adoption, and I’m already up to date on all my shots and tested negative for heartworms — ready to go and ready to love. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
