My story

    About Me  Meet Roscoe – A Golden Mix with a Heart Full of Joy!   Roscoe is an 8-month-old Golden Retriever/Lab/Husky mix who brings the sunshine wherever he goes. With his boundless energy, affectionate nature, and goofy puppy charm, he’s everything you’d expect from a young golden mix — and so much more.  Roscoe came to us from a loving home that could no longer keep him due to a move. They raised him from a 3-month-old pup, and it’s clear he was cherished. Since arriving in foster care, Roscoe has proven himself to be a sweet, social, and eager-to-please boy. He has good house manners, and does well with other dogs — especially those who enjoy a good romp in the yard!  Like many young pups, Roscoe is still learning the ropes. He can be mouthy and jumpy at times, so he’ll need a patient adopter committed to ongoing positive training to help him mature into the well-mannered dog he’s destined to be. He previously lived with a child, but due to his puppy exuberance, we recommend a home with or older children or adults only.   While he loves to play, he also loves pets and snuggles and is able to settle at his foster mom’s side while she works from home.  We haven’t tested Roscoe with cats, and given his husky side, he may have a prey drive — so a cat-free home is likely the best fit.  Roscoe truly shines with the loyalty and love typical of golden mixes.
