I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.I would prefer someone who can be home with me most of the time.I will need daily physical activity to keep me healthy and happy!My #BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: Adopt Dixie ☀️💖 (ID 221507) from the Animal Care Center of Manhattan! At only 31 lbs tiny little Dixie is a pocket sized energy ball! She loves, toys, beef liver, running in grass, and using your body as a spring board! Sweet Dixie was so excited to go to Central Park and play in the grass she was basically skipping from the time we got there. When we thought she couldn't get happier, we brought out a squeaker toy and she was ecstatic. She is such a good girl on a leash and was one of the easiest dogs to walk we've ever walked. She doesn't react at all to passing other dogs, she didn't even react when another dog tried to approach us off leash! While walking Dixie she would always turn around to check in with us and in a coffee shop and a restaurant she patiently waited for us to finish our food. She showed no reaction to loud noises or construction sites and was just happy to be out with us. A few people stopped us to tell us how cute she is, we told them she's waiting to be adopted at MACC.
