Fancy Jo is her name and she is such an incredibly sweet and loving girl who wants to be everyone’s bestie! She absolutely loves everyone she meets and melts into you any chance she can get. She has a heart of gold and she is always beaming with happiness and smiles. She is a hoot and her tail never stops wagging. Fancy does the cutest “happy tippy tappy” dance with her front paws when she sees people or really with anything. Hence why we added "happy paws" to her name because it really is like her own special way of saying how happy she is. Honestly, it reminds me of the movie Happy Feet and the way Mumble showed his happiness through his tap dancing. You’ll see her doing it in her video and it's by far one of the cutest things about her. She would make a great family dog and will fill your life with laughter and smiles. The word stranger danger does not exist in her vocabulary. She loves to LOVE and she has so much to give. Watch her video and fall head over heels for this happy girl: https://youtu.be/iDqa63hxwh0?si=ja2GhYwBsgumoDpS Fancy is believed to be a pittie/boxer mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 43 lbs and we don’t believe she will get much bigger! She’s a petite little thing, not too big and not too small, she’s just the right size. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Fancy is a smart little lady that knows how to sit, responds well to corrections from her handlers, and while her leash skills can use some polishing up she is very easy to train and is eager to please. You’ll find her always checking in with her person and has amazing eye contact! Fancy is also crate trained, potty trained and has great house manners. Although, she may need a reminder here and there about where the appropriate potty places are once she arrives to her forever home. She loves to explore and smell all the new smells around her. She would make a great running or hiking companion. We believe fancy would do good in an apartment or in a home with a yard. She has a well balanced energy about her and isn’t overly hyper but will require a good walk in the park or neighborhood. Her confidence radiates in new environments! I can see her her being a great pal to take with you out in public places like your local brewery, framers market, or even if you like having guests over, she’ll make a great co-host. She is just so happy all the time. She will also gladly cuddle with you on the couch for a netflix and chill night. Fancy also loves to play with toys, especially tennis balls! She does those cute happy tappy dance moves with her paws when she's playing and does these little hops right before getting to the ball. You probably saw her doing that in her video as well. She has such fun and silly personality that with everything she does, you can't help but smile and get a chuckle out of. She will retrieve the ball too and will love to play fetch with you in the backyard. Fancy’s love for everyone even extends towards other dog friends too. She is very dog friendly and has been in play groups with upwards of 10-15 dogs. She can wrestle or play the chase game, whatever game the dogs fancy at the time. Fancy is pretty versatile in her play with other dogs. While she enjoys short bursts of play, she also knows when to take a break and is respectful around dogs that don’t want to play, she will try to encourage them to play but is capable of taking the hint if they aren’t interested. However, she doesn’t need the company of other dogs to be happy. She’s confident and content with enough love to take on the role of your one-and-only! For her, that also just means she’ll get more princess treatment. Overall, Fancy is a friendly, smart, and well-behaved girl who is as sweet as can be! She is an affectionate and brave pup who loves to play, run around, and snuggle on the couch at the end of the day. She is a social butterfly who loves to make new doggy friends (big and small) and is always curious to meet new human friends too. Fancy is a hilarious pooch who loves to make her humans laugh. Fancy has been around kids as young as 4 years old and loves them! She was so gentle around Kobe and was gentle about showing affection towards him and didn't overwhelm him either with her love. Almost like she knew he was a tiny human and wanted to make sure she didn't knock him down or anything. They had a great time together outside enjoying the nice weather and also had fun playing on some of the agility equipment. Fancy was also a perfect little lady when Kobe was practicing her leash skills with him. She followed him around like a little puppy. It was so cute. She has absolutely no problems being handled by little kiddos and approaches little ones in a gentle manner with no fear! If you have kids, we believe Fancy would be the bestest friend for your little ones. She is an all-around good girl who is just longing for someone to give her a loving home. Could that someone be you? We are willing to test Fancy with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
