My foster writes: Moocho is a curious kitty who likes to explore his space. He takes his job of being a supervisor kitty very seriously, being in the same room as you during the day with each of you doing your own thing. Moocho is also okay with being independent, he understands if his person will be away for a bit and he likes to go on mini adventures of his own. At the end of a long day, Moocho likes his rest and relaxation. He will come up to you for cheek rubs and chin scratches and of course, his favorite brushes. Moocho will also want to sit close by to check out his favorite shows, giving his sweetest purr as he eventually makes it onto your lap for pets and spending time with his people. What my friends at ACC say about me:I have lived with cats in my previous home.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.Moocho is an adult cat that may not have had many interactions with humans from an early age. He is apprehensive of people and he appears wary of human contact. It is difficult to predict if he will respond to socialization but we recommend offering high value treats and food to help build a positive association to humans. Please be mindful that older cats will require more time and skill in order for them to be comfortable around people. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.A volunteer writes: With one paw dramatically draped from his Hocus Pocus bed, Moocho looks like he's ready to join the remake or at least accept his very well deserved progress achievement award. Moocho has made great progress since coming to us in February. As one of our more expressive kitties, his furrowed brow no longer seems to communicate his concern and worry, well... maybe a little, but his eyebrows now demonstrate a curious kitty who wants to learn more. Moocho knows there's something better out there for him, so he's been leaning his head into pets and trying to make more friends. While he wasn't so interested in playtime with me, part of what's helped Moocho make so much progress is his interest in treats. He came to us from a home with many other cats and is hoping to find a forever family who will celebrate his goals while loving and accepting him for exactly who he is.
