My story

Meet playful Naveen! Naveen is a happy go lucky boy who loves to play a game of fetch. Naveen unfortunately ended up at the shelter when his owner was incarcerated, but he's hoping it's a short stay and his person is coming soon. Naveen has only been here a few days so we're still getting to know him, but we do know he loves pets and that he was brought into the shelter with another dog. Naveen is now available for adoption at ACCT Philly- you can meet him any day from 10am-6pm! When I approached kennel for the first time, Naveen had soft eyes, was curled against the kennel door with tail tuck. After getting outside, we did a dog meet with a dog who is not feeling great and low energy and that went pretty well although he was hesitant to let the dogs sniff his behind… Did a brief fence meet with a larger dog who he did growl at, which very well could be a reaction to the barrier ( fence) or perhaps he’s selective. He seems to love chasing tennis balls, especially when you throw them high in the air for him to jump and receive! He allowed pets all over, pretty easy to handle and possibly house trained. Play group 4/23/25: Reactive before entering the yard, off and on reactivity at gate, stiff with high raised tail wags, growling and being vocal, went into yard high energy non hesitant, hackles raised, received a few greetings with out issue but then tried to mount which spilled over into a fight. No dogs were harmed and ACA's immediately removed involved dogs from the yard. ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week.
