My story

Meet Hedwig, she is 8 years old and weighs 54 pounds. She was found as a stray and making the best of it at the shelter. Hedwig is walked by volunteers and the shelter and is a little shy at first. On her Dog Day Out they loved her so much! `I had the joy of taking her out for the day, and she absolutely made my heart melt! She came right up to me with a wagging tail and gave me a kiss like we were already best friends. Hedwig hopped right into the car and was ready for an adventure. Once she got a little of her energy out, she walked beautifully on the leash and was so easy to be with.Hedwig was found as a stray, but she’s clearly full of love and ready to find her forever home. She’s calm, affectionate, and just wants to be close to her people.If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s already past the puppy stage but still full of life, come meet Hedwig. She deserves a cozy couch and a loving home to call her own!`She has been spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.Her ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
