My story

Meet Recycle! Recycle entered Baldwin Park Shelter as a stray, and sadly, he wasn't claimed during the required hold period. On April 22nd, we rescued him along with several other dogs from the shelter. To celebrate their Earth Day arrival, they all received appropriately themed names, and that's how this little cutie became Recycle! He is estimated to be 13 years old, weighs just under 9 lbs., and is super sweet and snuggly. Recycle is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learn what he is like in a home. After their first week together, Recycle's Fling Mom shared this update: "Recycle is a very gentle and sweet boy who likes to be picked up. He has lots of puppy-like energy and loves to play, but he also takes lots of naps during the day. Recycle is very trusting of people. He is good on a leash and loves to greet people and dogs. He has no problems with my small dog and is fine with big dog encounters on our walks. At home, Recycle is very quiet and doesn't bark. He has a big appetite and is very excited for treats. It's very easy to clean his face and give him a bath. He also loves to stare at himself and play games in the mirror! Recycle does well through the night, no crate needed and no accidents. I let him sleep in the bed with me. He has earned to use the human stairs and doggy stairs. Recycle is completely fine and sleeps when I am at work for about 10 hours a day.
