**Receiving Heartworm Treatment - Can Foster-to-Adopt for NH Residents** Atticus is a true, loyal companion. He is looking for a home who will meet his current and future needs! Current Needs: - He wants to be your one and only pet! - This includes no farm animals, small animals, etc. - Children should be 16 and older. - Restrict exercise. This requirement might be difficult to adhere to, especially if the dog is accustomed to being active. But the dog’s normal physical activities must be restricted as soon as the diagnosis is confirmed. - Stabilize the dog's disease. Before actual heartworm treatment can begin, the dog’s condition may need to be stabilized with appropriate therapy. - Administer treatment. The American Heartworm Society has guidelines for developing this plan of attack that PMHS-CV has created. Future Needs: -Active lifestyle to stay busy and keep him healthy and his mind healthy! - Working on training skills around other animals and reactivity levels. - Speak with our trainer about all his training needs!
