My story

Sweet Elton came to the shelter a bouncy, happy-go-lucky guy . . . but he soon became lethargic, didn`t want to eat, and had a high fever. Our medical fund Saving Paws paid for a trip to the vet, and we learned that he had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. What is Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever? It`s a tick-borne bacterial infection, which as you can guess, has symptoms of depression, poor appetite, and a fever. He was prescribed antibiotics and since starting treatment, he`s back to his bubbly self! While he`s still on the mend, taking his meds and slowly reclaiming his appetite, this guy is ready to recover in his new home!He`s very cuddly and affectionate, making him a great candidate for a companion. He also loves chewing on spiky balls. He`ll need to meet all other dogs in the household before adoption to make sure he`s a good fit. **All Saving Paws dogs are application only, so if you`re interested in this lovable boy, please as a staff member for an application.
