My story

Meet Chauncey... the definition of a gentle soul. This sweet, calm, and affectionate boy is as loving as they come. He adores people and finds true joy in spending time outdoors, especially when he is surrounded by his dog friends. Easy going and friendly, Chauncey gets along wonderfully with every person and most large dogs he meets.Chauncey is house trained, great with kids, and thrives in a home where someone is around often. He truly enjoys being part of the action and included in daily life. He would do best with a large, confident dog sibling who can help him feel secure and show him the ropes. While small dogs are not the best fit for him, he gets along beautifully with larger and or laid back canine companions.He is also a bit of a social butterfly. Chauncey has been known to try and sneak out of the yard to find friends if left alone for too long. Because of that, a secure backyard and attentive supervision are important to help keep this friendly adventurer safe and happy.Like many dogs who form strong bonds with their people, Chauncey can feel some anxiety when left alone. To help him transition successfully, he will come with an indestructible crate where he feels safe and secure while you are away. He would thrive in a home where his humans work from home or are home most of the day. He is happiest when he is close to the ones he loves.Chauncey is currently in a loving foster home and is ready to bring calm, loyalty, and companionship into yours.
