My story

Hello – I am Harvey! I am a handsome, delightful boy who would love to meet you!I am new to Minnesota – I just came up from Alabama to find my forever home. My foster mom saysthat I am 50 pounds of curiosity, spunk and sweetness. She says I have all the best shepherd qualities. Iam very devoted to her and stay by her side. I love to learn and figure things out, and my gigantic earsare fun to watch as they take in the world. I love the other dogs here, I’m a bit afraid of the cats and themen here, but I am warming up to them. I enjoy rearranging items I find – socks and shoes, for example,and putting them in piles on my bed. I have a big brain and I like it to stay busy! I am learning to walkon a leash – I don’t pull hard, but I am very curious about everything.I don’t mind going in my kennel, but I do prefer staying with my people. At night, I settle downimmediately in my kennel next to my human’s bed, and I’m so happy to be near her that I don’t make apeep all night.If you are looking for a smart, devoted companion for life – look no further! Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions.
