Meet Millie. She is a purebred miniature schnauzer. She weighs right above 17 lbs. Yes, she is full grown and at a very healthy weight ❤️ She turned 3 years of age on 2/17/25. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, had a dental cleaning done, along with an exam with our vet who has cleared her to find a home all her own 😊 She is a very SWEET, and VERY CALM soul!! She is not high energy, and actually LOVES a more low key, relaxed way of life. She is naturally serene tempered and would really love to join someone in life as their friend to share each and every day with ❤️ She is WONDERFUL with dogs and cats alike, and while we haven't seen a very playful side to her when it comes to other animals, she sure does make a great friend to all of them as she would to yours if you had any in your life already. She, however, does not need to be in a home with other animals as long as she has her human there with her then her heart will remain full 💕 She is NOT a barker. She will alert you of an unfamiliar noise here and there, but for the most part she has full trust in her human that they will take care of it, especially if she is warm in her bed and sound asleep (or getting ready for a nap!) She is wonderful with everyone she meets. She isn't one that will run up to just anyone, but I assure you that once she knows you are her friend, she will never leave your side ❤️ She is a very loyal, and very attentive companion 😊 She is very well behaved in our home, and while she currently sleeps in a crate in our home (at night only) she does very well without one too. She has shown that she can be fully trusted with full reign of our home from the very beginning of her arrival to us. She is very smart, and is always paying attention to what's going on around her. She is a great listener too as I've had many talks with her about how special she is to us and how incredibly happy she will make her next family ♥️ She is a very special girl, with a heart ready to be loved again so make sure it's you filling it, as she is one decision in life you'll never regret making ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ She is house trained, and will go outside every 3-4 hours when asked to if needed. She is very good about sitting at the door inbetween us asking her if she needs to be let outside. She is leash trained and has come to really enjoy her walks, whenever she can get one. She isn't one that needs them all the time, but will definitely beat you to the door if she knows once's coming 🙂 She does really well on road trips of any length, and is always ready for a daily adventure even if it's just to run errands around town. She is happy just knowing she gets to leave with you ❤️ She loves a good spa day, and is perfect on the table for our groomer so she is definitely a favorite at the shop whenever she is there ❤️ Her prior owner fell very ill, and had to be hospitalized. With her health declining, she knew she couldn't keep her home alone even with friends checking in on her. She didn't have any extended family or children to take her in so she had to make the hard decision to let her sweet girl come to us so she could find a home and human to call her own again ❤️ You can locate her adoption listing at our Sister Rescue at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/millie It covers her overall vet costs. She is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. We had blood work done along with a dental cleaning and polish. She needed quite a few of extractions due to a lot of her teeth being infected. She still has a handful of teeth, but will need to be on a soft diet moving forward (although she will attempt to convince you she is perfectly fine eating dry kibble 😂.) Currently she is eating a brand of food called Fresh Pet which she loves so it's been a very easy transition! We are just glad she is on the mend, and out of pain. She did have a wonderful overall exam with our vet as well, and yes all medical records will go home with her! As always her adoption fee also goes back into the care involved in her overall time with us, her grooming costs, and her training we have personally done with her ❤️
