My story

Meeko Local is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Meeko is a 10-month-old wire-haired Dachshund mix full of spunk and character. He’s house-trained and loves being with his people—but crating is not for him! Meeko would do best with an adopter who is home often. He’s good with other respectful dogs but prefers they don’t get too close to his face. Meeko can be protective of his toys and treats, so an adult or teen+ home is the best fit. True to his Dachshund roots, Meeko loves to bark at just about everything, so a home that embraces his chatty nature is a must! No cats for Meeko—he loves to chase them.
