My story

Meet Minnie — a sweet and gentle 2-year-old, 10-pound Silkie Terrier mix — a native New Yorker, rescued from our local Manhattan shelter. This petite pup is all about comfort, calm vibes, and being close to her people. She loves snuggling into cozy dog beds, getting belly rubs, and burying her little nose in a soft blanket next to her foster mom.   Minnie is a quiet, affectionate girl with a gentle spirit and a strong desire to please. While she’s still working on leash walking and getting used to the big city sidewalks, she’s eager to learn — especially when rewarded with cuddles and praise. She’s currently doing well using pee pads and is comfortable in a crate filled with soft blankets or a gated-off space in the home. Her ideal forever family will be patient and continue guiding her through positive training. She’d do best in a calm, low-key household, either adults-only or with older, dog-savvy kids who can respect her need for a peaceful environment. Minnie is content to join you on quiet adventures, whether it’s a stroll in a doggy buggy or being carried in a sling. She currently lives peacefully with a 9-year-old Shorkie and would do well either as a solo pup or with other calm, respectful pets. Minnie’s the kind of pup who thrives on love, consistency, and a cozy place to call home — could it be with you?  Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, bordetella, and Lepto. Neutered and microchipped. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available.
