This goofy girl is thriving in her foster home! Francie is doing amazing with potty training and uses the dog door like an absolute pro. She’s always making her foster family laugh with her silly antics and playful personality. Francie is a total cuddlebug—whether it’s with her humans or her furry foster siblings (including the resident cat, who she thinks is pretty fun). While she’s still a little timid if she thinks she’s been caught being naughty, Francie is also a bit skittish when it comes to putting on a collar or slip lead—especially around her foster dad. But with some tasty treat motivation and lots of patience, she’s starting to realize that her collar means good things (like walkies and snacks!) and is slowly but surely warming up to him and building her confidence every day. Life is looking pretty sweet for little Francie! We hope to have DNA results soon to share! We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2359225##
