My story

Meet Jelly Roll! This sweet 2-year-old, 16-pound little guy came to us after being found as a stray and taken to a local shelter. Unfortunately, no one came for him, and despite his charm, he didn’t get much interest, so the shelter reached out to us for help. Of course, we said yes!Since arriving, Jelly Roll has adjusted beautifully. He’s got short little legs, a gentle soul, and a big heart. We don’t know much about his past, but he did come to us with irritated, flea-bitten skin and some hair loss around his back end. Thankfully, he’s healing well, and his fur is already starting to grow back!Jelly Roll is friendly with other dogs and generally very sweet with people. He can be a bit shy when meeting someone new, but there’s a simple way to win him over...three treats. That’s all it takes for him to go from unsure to snuggled in your lap! Once he trusts you, he loves affection, being held, and will happily relax right by your side.He’s also got a playful streak. He enjoys his walks, gets the zoomies, and isn’t afraid to show off a few quirky moves when he’s excited.
