Bacon in Texarkana TX

My story

Bacon is a female black with tan Yorkie mix. She is around 4 years old and she weighs about 10-11 pounds. Bacon is spayed and vaccinated including rabies. Bacon is heartworm positive and has started the slow kill treatment protocol. Bacon is ready for adoption. Bacon is a lovebug. She and another dog were left with relatives during a housing problem, and a year later, after living in kennels in the garage all that time, the owners gave the go ahead to find them homes. (Her haircut is a little short because it was quite overdue. We aren’t even sure what she will look like when it grows in…will be fun to see.) Bacon has a beautiful face and eyes full of love. She is agile and can get places looking for treats that some dogs can’t! Hide your pupperoni! Bacon loves to be held and seems to like all people. She is friendly with other dogs and generally a very good girl. Bacon has had no potty accidents. She is cooperative with a crate. Bacon is used to other dogs but would probably do ok as an only dog if not left alone too much. Adoption fee is $250. Jeff Tarpley Rescue welcomes applications from homeowners, renters, and condo or apartment dwellers. At a minimum, a phone interview will be conducted and a vet reference checked before the applicant may meet their preferred pet. We adopt primarily in the 4 states of the ArkLaTexOma. Applicants willing to travel to Texarkana will also be considered with additional requirements to qualify as approved.
