Bixby

My story

Welcome Bixby to CCPAL foster program. Bixby is a 14-month old Poodle with an apricot stripe on his back. He weighs about 15 pounds and is full grown. He is potty trained, good on a leash, good with other dogs and will go in a kennel. When you are home, Bixby prefers being with his people and following you around. He will bark while in a kennel if you are home. He will go inside it with the door open no problem but doesn’t like to be kept away from hanging out with you. He chases the cat but doesn’t hurt it and the one that doesn’t back down, he doesn’t bother. I would think he would be best without cats because of his playful nature. I would think he would annoy most cats. He doesn’t shed but will need grooming and brushing to stay beautiful and white. He sleeps in the bed with his foster family and plays with their 50 pound dog named Honey. Bixby is a joy to have around and will make some lucky family a wonderful companion. He is very smart and trusting and would be fine in a home with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He could be with another dog or would love all of the attention as an only. This boy will get a lot of applications. Please be patient if you put an application in and let us assess them for the best fit. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200.
