My story

Calling all big dog lovers! Meet Beren. Beren is a male Pyrenees/Bernese Mountain mix that currently weighs 90 pounds. He is currently 14 months old. DOB is 2-1-24. Beren is the name of a character in Tolkien’s Middle Earth who goes to the heart of enemy land and cuts a holy jewel from the enemy’s crown. Beren is a hero. Our Beren is just as mighty. Beren came to us as an owner surrender because of his sheer size. We told Beren not to worry because we will find him a home that loves and appreciates him and all his glorious-ness including his ginormous size and occasional slobber. He is great with children who are familiar with big breed dogs. Beren is dog friendly. He lived with a 75 pound dog. He also lived with a cat. Beren was curious of the cat but never aggressive. This boy is awesome. He is a giant sweet boy who loves to snuggle with his people. In fact, he is so friendly that he would try to sit in visitor’s laps when they came over to the home. Per the previous owner, Beren is crate trained and housetrained. He would sleep in his crate at night. Beren has a medium energy level and is used to a fenced-in yard. Large breed experience is required. Beren can pull on walks but he does heed his handler well. Beren is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster him in your home until he has completed all his vetting which includes neuter, vaccinations, microchip and heartworm testing.
