My story

Meet Zander, a striking 7-year-old pup with a heart full of love and plenty of personality to go around! He was brought to us as a stray and, sadly, no one came to claim him—but that just means he’s now searching for a forever family to spend his golden years with. Don’t let his age fool you—Zander still has lots of spunk and charm, and he’s ready to share it with a family who will give him the love and comfort he deserves. He’s the perfect mix of playful and mellow, and would love nothing more than a sunny spot to nap in and a cozy home to call his own. If you’ve got an open heart and an extra dog bed, Zander would be thrilled to fill the spot. He can’t wait to find his forever home and spend his golden years living his best life!Zander had a fun-filled day out recently, where he got to stretch his legs on a scenic trail and relax at the park. In the car, he was full of affection—he tried his best to climb into his volunteer’s lap and couldn’t wait to greet the barista when it was time for his pup cup (which he thoroughly enjoyed!). Zander is curious and interested in the world around him, watching people and his surroundings with bright eyes, but he remained calm and polite when others passed by. He was excited to hop out of the car at each stop, but waited patiently without pushing or rushing. This sweet, happy boy made such a great impression—it’s easy to imagine him becoming someone’s loyal adventure buddy. Anyone would be lucky to bring home a pup like Zander!Zander is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
