My story

Mia is a sweet and gentle 5-year-old pup weighing around 20 lbs who's happiest when she's lounging by your side or tagging along on life's little adventures. Whether it's a car ride or a neighborhood stroll, Mia is always ready to be your companion. She's friendly and affectionate, occasionally jumping up to greet new people and playfully nudging your hand with her mouth when she wants attention. While her gentle “mouthiness” is her way of engaging, we believe Mia would do best in a home without young children who may not understand her playful or bathroom signals. One of Mia's favorite places is her crate—it's her safe, cozy retreat. She'll often curl up there on her own, even with the door open. She's house-trained and will let you know she needs to go outside by whining, pacing, or gently mouthing your hand. However, her bathroom routine is a bit of a ritual—she likes to explore multiple spots and often takes a moment to enjoy the fresh air before finishing. For this reason, Mia would do best in a home with a fenced yard, where she can move at her own pace. A long walk can sometimes work, but inclement weather might make that challenging. Mia is well-mannered with both cats and dogs. She prefers calmer dogs around her size and may feel uneasy if larger dogs rush up to her. She is sometimes playful with compatible canine companions and content to coexist peacefully with dogs and cats. Mia does not like to be pinned down or dominated during play and will display disapproval. When it comes to grooming, Mia is a bit sensitive—especially around her face and paws. She will ll allow you to trim her nails or fur with patience and a gentle touch, though she may show a little resistance. Going slow and steady works best for her. This treat-loving girl will be first in line when she hears the rustle of a snack bag! That said, she can be a bit protective of her food bowl while eating, so it's best to give her space during mealtime. Mia is looking for a calm, loving home where she can continue to blossom and feel safe. If you're patient, kind, and ready for a loyal best friend, Mia may just be the perfect match for you. Mia is located in the metro Atlanta, Georgia area.
