My story

Canyon is a 1-year-old German Shepherd mix with a sweet nature and a sharp mind. He already knows basic commands like “sit” and is eager to learn more. This young pup is smart, food-motivated, and ready to grow into a loyal, well-mannered companion. Canyon does a good job keeping his kennel clean and is close to being housetrained. He’ll benefit from a refresher once he settles into a home routine. Canyon is not a fit for homes with cats, but he connects well with people and is looking for a home that can keep up with his energy and continue his training. If you're looking for a bright, affectionate dog to bring into your life, Canyon could be the one. Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
