My story

This 8-year-old pit bull sweetheart is already a staff favorite—and it’s easy to see why. Princess Nelly is as loving as they come, always ready with kisses and tail wags. She enjoys going for walks and getting in some playtime, but she’s just as content snuggling up on the couch with her people. Nelly is house trained, has lived with kids and done well, and loves to play with friendly dogs. That said, she’s not a fan of sharing her toys—so she’d probably be happiest as your one and only pup, where she doesn’t have to stress about her prized possessions. Princess Nelly was sadly surrendered when her loving owner couldn’t find housing that allowed her breed. She’s only been with us a short time, but she’s already won over everyone she’s met. We are often on the line with another client, but we return voice mail and emails within 24 hours. All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations - heartworm test -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
